Resume
I am an Early Childhood trainer and assessor with a commitment to the value of education, from early childhood through to adult education, and I am an enthusiastic supporter of lifelong learning.
I have been involved in the early childhood sector for 23 years, enjoying extensive experience as an educator, an Authorised Officer for the Department of Education Early Childhood Directorate and an assistant manager of a team of early childhood VET trainers. I have had the privilege of holding various roles as a trainer, delivering professional development to the early childhood sector and teaching VET accredited qualifications.
I find it wonderfully satisfying to support students to reach their learning goals and to celebrate their achievements. Well informed students become confident and competent educators and one of my greatest pleasures is when students share their delight of successfully applying theory to practice and see their learning come alive amongst the richness and diversity of an early childhood centre.
I believe supporting students on their individual educational journey is a rewarding and valuable role. My aim is to educate, empower and motivate students to become successful, qualified educators, who are committed to ethical, equitable, engaging early childhood education.
My early childhood qualifications are at Certificate III and Diploma levels and I hold the VET qualifications in Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and Bachelor of Adult and Vocational Education.
