Zoom – Virtual Classroom
Zoom is very easy to use conferencing software that enables you to connect with multiple people at the same time. You will be able to see and hear your trainer and fellow classmates and discuss and ask questions all from your device, in the comfort of your home.
To participate in training via Zoom, please check you can meet the pre-requisites below:
- A computer or iPad/tablet (please see individual course descriptions for specific requirements. Some computer courses can only be conducted on Windows PCs); and
- A webcam* so that you can be seen by the trainer; and
- A microphone* so that you can participate in the class and be heard by the trainer; and
- Internet connection
*Laptop computers usually include a webcam and microphone built into the top of the screen frame. Smartphones and iPad/tablets also contain cameras and microphones.

Zoom Video for Computer Students
This is the second in our video series to assist our NBMC students in the transition to virtual classrooms. This video demonstrates how you can switch applications while using Zoom, use two screens or split your computer screen if you are attending one of our computer / software application courses. This may be useful if you are studying Office Skills, Microsoft Office, Bookkeeping & Accounting, some Social Media and Graphic Design.
