40 years in the making

The College started as a community college nearly 40 years ago offering a range of lifestyle evening
courses from local schools to the adult community on Sydney’s northern beaches. In 1995 the College
became a Registered Training Organisation and began to offer nationally accredited courses. The scope
of full qualification courses offered has increased extensively over the years to now include aged care,
disability, health services, allied health, leisure & health, community services, counselling, leadership & management, project management,
entrepreneurship, computers, early childcare education & care and
school based education support.

Our vocational trainers are all industry experts who deliver "real world" training to our students.

As a not for profit organisation, the College’s main goal is to provide a supportive and successful
learning environment for our students. Our vocational trainers are all industry experts who deliver “real
world” training to our students. The College and our students’ success has been rewarded by the NSW
Department of Education recognising our organisation as a High Performing Provider in the delivery of
training under the NSW Smart & Skilled Training Contract.

In addition, the College offers the Adult and Community Education (ACE) Program which has been
designed to support to those who are disadvantaged and who need additional skills and knowledge to
move into further study and/or gain employment.

Executive Director

This program also supports small business owners and their staff by providing fully subsidised
accredited and non accredited training in targeted courses in information technology, business services
or foundation skills. This stream is referred to as Targeted Skills for Small Business (TSB).

The Tech Savvy Seniors program (subsidised by the NSW Government and Telstra) offers those over the age of 60 the opportunity to attend low cost short courses in a range of technology focused subjects such as cyber safety, iphones, ipads and artificial intelligence.

Whilst the main focus of the College has moved to vocational courses, we do still continue to offer a
varied lifestyle program of short courses in subject areas such as computers, arts, languages, crafts,
music, photography and health, fitness, mind and soul. This supports our goal of offering our community
the important benefit of life long learning.
