Traineeship

Need Some Help?

Overview

A traineeship is a great opportunity to earn as you learn! It is a training agreement between an employer and an employee during which the trainee learns the skills needed for a particular occupation or trade, whilst earning a wage. It combines time at work with training and can be completed full-time, part-time or while you are still at school.

You’ll spend one to three years as a trainee, depending on your chosen industry and qualification as well as your employment contract as either part time or fulltime trainee.

At the end of the traineeship and the trainee has fulfilled the employment and course assessment requirements the trainee will achieve a nationally recognised qualification. The employer will have an upskilled and valuable employee as well as potentially receiving government incentives from the Federal Government.

Traineeships are available to anyone of working age regardless of their level of education. You can be a school-leaver, re-entering the workforce or an adult worker simply wishing to change careers.
