Knitting for Beginners

In this knitting class we will learn how to cast on and how to do the basic stitches of knit and purl. We will also learn to cast on and how to understand a basic pattern. Students are welcome to bring along any project/wool they might like to discuss.

What to Bring

  • Pair of knitting needles size between 7-8.5mm ( wood, plastic or metal – wood or plastic are easier to learn on)
  • Light coloured wool in 10,12 or 14 ply
  • Notepad and pen
  • Pair of Scissors
  • Please feel free to bring any other wool you might like to experiment with and any patterns/projects that you might like to discuss.

Knit kits with a pair of knitting needles and one ball of wool will be available on the day for $18 (payable in cash on the first day).

This course has no current classes. Please the waiting list.
