French Intermediate Stage 4 (Dominique Partridge)
Course Outline:
This course is designed for students who have completed over 2 years of studies. This course is designed for students with prior knowledge of the French language at intermediate B1 level on the CEFR scale. Students will continue to build and strengthen listening comprehension, speaking, writing and reading skills - all in a social and interactive environment. There will be a focus on conversational skills through engaging discussions in a supportive and inclusive setting. We will explore diverse topics, including French literature, arts, culture, and current affairs with a purpose to deepen understanding and appreciation of Francophone societies. This course is recommended for those who are familiar with the use of verbs conjugated in the present, past perfect, future, imperfect, imperative tenses, and an understanding of conditional and subjunctive moods. Grammar concepts at intermediate level will be reinforced to enhance accuracy and expression. Active participation and homework are essential to fully beneficiate from this course.
