Botanical Art

Course Outline:

This art class offers an insight into the different ways of approaching a botanical painting, starting with black and white studies in pencil and moving onto watercolour to capture the beauty of plants.
Suitable for all levels.

What to Bring:

  • A4 or larger sketchbook
  • 2B pencil
  • Kneaded rubber (putty rubber)
  • Water jar
  • White china plate or white palette

Further material list will be supplied after second lesson (There is an optional $25.00 art package supplied by the tutor consisting of Watercolour paints, brushes, watercolour paper that can be purchased from the tutor for $25.00 on request after second class)

About the Tutor:

Penny Walton is an experienced illustrator who has worked for publishers in both Sydney and London. She takes most of her inspiration from the bush environment around her home in the Hunter Valley.

This course has no current classes. Please the waiting list.
