COVID-19 – A notice to all staff and students
Updated Monday 5 June 2023
Updates
The main College Administration office at Levels 1 and 2, 14 William Street, Brookvale is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm.
College campuses are open as above to staff and students for administration enquiries. Masks are encouraged for indoor settings where you cannot maintain a safe distance from others but no longer mandatory.
The College will follow the Department of Education’s Return to Vocational Education and Training Guidelines and NSW Health public health orders in relation to COVID. Students attending classes on campus are encouraged to protect themselves against COVID-19 with at least two doses of a vaccination and a booster shot. Vaccinations may also be a requirement for mandatory work placements in aged care, disability, childcare, health and other courses.
Current NSW Health guidelines are as follows:
Steps to reduce your COVID risk
Cases of COVID-19 remain high in the community. To protect yourself and your loved ones:
- Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations.
- Stay home if you have cold or flu symptoms and get tested.
- Wear a mask in crowded, indoor places.
- Talk with your doctor now if you’re at higher risk of severe illness. You may be eligible for antiviral medicines.
- Don’t visit people who are at higher risk if you have symptoms or COVID-19.
As recommended by NSW Health, if you test positive for COVID, to help protect other students and staff, it is requested that you stay away from the College for at least 7 days and until you have no symptoms
