COVID-19 – A notice to all staff and students

Updated Wednesday 20 April 2022

College Administration offices are open as follows:

Narrabeen Campus: Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm
Brookvale Campus: Tuesdays and Thursdays – 9am to 4pm

College campuses are open as above to staff and students for administration enquiries. Masks are encouraged for indoor settings where you cannot maintain a safe distance from others but no longer mandatory.

The College will follow the Department of Education’s Return to Vocational Education and Training Guidelines and NSW Health public health orders in relation to COVID. Students attending classes on campus are strongly encouraged to protect themselves against COVID-19 with at least two doses of a vaccination and a booster shot. Vaccinations may also be a requirement for mandatory work placements in aged care, disability, childcare, health and other courses.

Term 2 beginning 2 May 2022

The Term 2 brochure and full course details are available on our website. If you continue to be impacted by the COVID lockdown, the NSW Government has also provided funding for a range of free short courses to help improve work skills or retrain for a new career under ACE Funding. These will be available to eligible individuals – see Free short courses for a list of available courses and eligibility details.

Most Diploma and Certificate courses are currently available fee free for eligible individuals under Skilling for Recovery/Jobtrainer funding. This funding has been recently extended to allow fee free enrolments until 31 December 2022. If you are:

  • unemployed (with or without a benefit),
  • aged 16-24 (working or not) or
  • at risk of unemployment

you can retrain or upskill at no cost. See Skilling for Recovery for full details.

Fee free training at the College is also available in the priority areas of aged care, disability and childcare courses for those who are employed and meet the basic JobTrainer eligibility.

For any enquiries, please phone us on 9970 1000 or email Training Coordinators can also be contacted directly by email, click here for a list of our Coordinators and their email addresses.

Additional safety measures are being taken at College Campuses to help protect everyone on site. These include:

  • Installation of HEPA Air Purifiers in all training rooms and other key areas on campus
  • Additional cleaning measures

  • If you are a close contact of someone with COVID, please ensure you complete a negative rapid antigen test PRIOR to coming to College each day.
  • Regularly clean your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, or an alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Practice cough etiquette (keep away from other people, cover coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues or clothing, and clean your hands.
  • Practice recommended social distancing.
  • Wear a mask if a distance of 1.5 metres from others cannot be maintained.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and follow advice from NSW Health to ensure we are continuing to respond appropriately to the current health situation.

Please be assured that the health, safety and well being of our staff and students is our highest priority.
