Updated Thursday 6 May 2021

On Campus study during COVID-19

Additional safety measures are being taken at College Campuses to help protect everyone on site. These include:

  • Additional cleaning measures
  • Reduced class sizes to allow for social distancing
  • Provision of hand sanitiser and wipes to encourage regular hand hygiene
  • Regular wiping of frequently used surfaces

Please help with these safety measures:

  • Do NOT attend College if you have any respiratory symptoms, however mild, or are feeling unwell, or are awaiting COVID-19 test results or have been in a COVID hotspot (as defined on the NSW Health website) within the past 14 days.
  • If you notify the College that you have been experiencing respiratory symptoms and will not be attending class, please provide us with a negative COVID test result before returning to classes.
  • Regularly clean your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, or an alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Practice cough etiquette (keep away from other people, cover coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues or clothing, and clean your hands.
  • Practice recommended social distancing.
  • We suggest that you bring a mask to wear when at the College.

Term 2

Term 2 will commenced the week beginning Monday 26 April with most courses again being offered face to face at one of our campuses. Some courses will also offer the option of virtual classroom attendance.

The Term 2 brochure and full course details are available on our website. Some short government funded workskills courses are yet to commence. See Skilling for Recovery Short Courses for details.

Most Diploma and Certificate courses are available fee free for eligible individuals under Skilling for Recovery/Jobtrainer funding. If you are unemployed (with or without a benefit), aged 17-24 (working or not) or at risk of unemployment you can retrain or upskill at no cost. See Skilling for Recovery for details.

The NSW Government has also provided funding for a range of other fee free short courses to help improve work skills or retrain for a new career under ACE Funding. These will be available to eligible individuals – see ACE Funding for details.

We are registered with the NSW Government as a COVID Safe business and have implemented the Service NSW QR Code check-in system at all NBMC Campuses – the same system used in hospitality venues. External course venues will have their own check in system. Please ensure that you check in every time you visit the College in case contact tracing is required.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and follow advice from NSW Health to ensure we are continuing to respond appropriately to the current health situation.

Please be assured that the health, safety and well being of our staff and students is our highest priority.

Further COVID-19 information and updates are available via the NSW Health website here.
