Hula Hooping for Beginners

Learn how to hulahoop with fitness and dance in mind. These fun and energetic hulahoop classes will be divided into a warm up, hoop conditioning, hoop moves on and off the body, beginner tricks, traditional circus hula, hoop dance, hoop jams and warm down. Tone up those abs and tune into your rhythmic rotations. No previous experience necessary.

This 8 week hulahoop course covers the foundations of hybrid hooping including moves both on and off the body; multiple hoops; and hoop dance. A great series of classes for absolute beginners, those with a little hooping history and hoopers who are looking for a regular training space within a group environment. Caters to all level of skill and ability. No previous experience required. The classes are both fun and challenging with the goal of putting together a repertoire of tricks by the end of the course to rock out your life with.

Hooping is a super fun way to stay fit while developing coordination, stamina, balance, and rhythm. Once the initiate moves into a space of relaxation and comfort with learning new skills, not only does s/he encounter feelings of excitement and joy but also discovers an opportunity to let go of the ‘mind stuff’ and instead float into a peaceful state of meditation. This ‘turning off the mind’ and ‘switching on the body’ is true as we develop body consciousness while spinning into core strength and centeredness.
