Excel 2019 Advanced

Course Outline

Advanced Microsoft Office Excel course focusing on more advanced features of Excel. This is a great follow on course from the Excel 2019 Intermediate. Learn functions, labels and names, data consoildation, pivot tables and macros. This course would suit those who have intermediate excel skills but want to learn more advanced techniques and functions of the software. Topics include

  • Lookup functions
  • Labels and Names
  • Protecting Data
  • Data Consolidation
  • PivotTables
  • Solver
  • Recorded Macros

Prerequisites

Students must have prior knowledge of the following:

  • Entering and Editing Data
  • Data formatting options
  • Worksheet formatting options
  • Page setup options
  • Moving and copying data
  • Creating simple formulas
  • Working with any of Excel’s functions (eg. =SUM, =AVERAGE, =LOOKUP)
  • Using “AutoFill” when copying formulas
  • Headers and Footers
  • Basic Charts
  • Auto Fill Options

Please Bring

  • USB stick to class. Around 4gb storage is sufficent.
  • Notepad and pen

Prerequisites

Confident keyboarding skills and Excel Intermediate course or equivalent skills and knowledge

On Campus study during COVID-19

  • Practice recommended social distancing.
