Christmas Yule log Decorating Workshop
Course Outline
Immerse yourself in spirit of Christmas with this fun and visually appealing Yule log cake. A beginners course that will have all your family and friends in awe of your creation.
In this class you’ll be shown how to transform a plain Swiss jam roll into a festive and enticing looking Yule log.
This course will show you how to cut and cover the swiss roll in chocolate ganache creating the effect of real looking bark. You will be guided on how to create fondant decorations such as holly, Xmas flowers and meringue mushrooms to complete the festive look of your cake.
Your cake will then be dressed on a silver cake board and ready to take home in its box.

About the Tutor
Amber Subaki
Amber Subaki is an artist, illustrator and cake decorator. With over 10 years of experience working in the disability sector, including 5 years teaching art, Amber has a nurturing and inclusive teaching style. She has a Diploma of Fine Arts from TAFE and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNSW. Amber's passion for cake decorating began 12 years ago when she became a mother. As an artist working in the fine detail of ink illustration, cake decorating was a natural transition to a fun hobby and side business.
