Tech Savvy for Small Business Program
Northern Beaches & Mosman College has received funding from the NSW Department of Education for the Tech Savvy for Small Business Program. The purpose of the funding is to support small business owners and their staff by providing fully subsidised training in accredited short courses targeting information technology, business services or foundation skills.
Business Eligibility
For the purposes of this program, a small business is defined as a business with:
- 20 employees or less, OR
- an annual turnover of less than $2,000,000.
Participant Eligibility
Staff members must be:
- An Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, Australian permanent resident or humanitarian visa holder
- Aged 15 years or older
- Not at school
- Living or working in NSW.
What Courses Are Offered?
The following list of courses are just some on offer which would be fully subsidised under the above program for you and your staff. These are all accredited short courses which will qualify for the funding.

- Basic Bookkeeping & Xero
- Medical Terminology
- Touch Typing for Adults
Microsoft
- Excel 2016 Introduction
- Word 2016 Introduction
- Word 2016 Intermediate
- Create Business Documents (using Microsoft Word)
- PowerPoint 2016 Introduction
- Outlook 2016 - Email, Contacts & Calendar
Adobe
- Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud Level 1
- Adobe InDesign Creative Cloud Level 1
- Adobe Illustrator Creative Cloud Level 1
The College also offers a number of non-accredited work skills courses which include short social media courses, Microsoft Office, Web Design, Photography, Xero, Graphic Design, Web Development, Linkedin and more. These courses can only be funded if studied in conjunction with an accredited short course.
Customised Training?
If you have a minimum of 10 staff who need training, talk to us about a customised course for your staff. The course can be delivered at your premises or in one of our modern, fully equipped training rooms.
