I have been working for many years in Computer Technical Support and Corporate Training. I worked in both Private and Government agencies and enjoyed the challenge of both.
I started teaching at the Northern Beaches & Mosman College, formally known as Manly Warringah College and Sydney University Adult Education in 2000 after completing my Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. I taught adult students at the colleges alongside my Tech support job for a number of years. When my Tech support job in the city became too busy, I concentrated mostly on support and corporate training.
I returned to teaching at Northern Beaches & Mosman College after the pandemic in 2021, and after updating my Adult Education (TAE) and Foundation Skills Certificates (FSK).
I now enjoy teaching IT based courses such as Essential Computer Skills and many Tech Savy Seniors courses as well as Windows, Files and Folders, Internet and Email and other great MS Office courses.
I love training and it in turn helps people achieve their best and that has always been a passion for me. I love it ‘when the penny drops’ and I hear the ooh’s and aah’s when they just ‘get it’. It gives me real pleasure to know that I’ve made a difference with the students, many of whom go on to get new jobs using their newfound skills or at the very least, feel comfortable using their devices.
