To participate in training via Zoom, please check you can meet the pre-requisites below:

  • A computer or iPad/tablet (please see individual course descriptions for specific requirements. Some computer courses can only be conducted on Windows PCs); and
  • A webcam* so that you can be seen by the trainer; and

  • Internet connection

*Laptop computers usually include a webcam and microphone built into the top of the screen frame. Smartphones and iPad/tablets also contain cameras and microphones.

We have a very simple to follow instructional video, which can be viewed by clicking here.

Zoom Video for Computer Students

This is the second in our video series to assist our NBMC students in the transition to virtual classrooms. This video demonstrates how you can switch applications while using Zoom, use two screens or split your computer screen if you are attending one of our computer / software application courses. This may be useful if you are studying Office Skills, Microsoft Office, Bookkeeping & Accounting, some Social Media and Graphic Design.

You can view the video here: Zoom Video for Computer Students
