Course Overview
You will see the technique demonstrated for how to copy a garment without taking it apart, and making it into a pattern to sew. You will also make two Blocks – a bodice block and a skirt block.
You will then learn how to manipulate these blocks to make an unlimited number of designs using the flat paper pattern making technique.
Those with a good grasp on maths, problem solving and logic will benefit from this class, as there is a high requirement for precision. This is not a draping, drafting or design class, yet there will be specific designs taught that will cover a couple of the major principles.
