Online Safety and Work Ready Tips

This course is designed for students who want to build confidence for work, life, and beyond while developing foundation skills in online safety and work ready tips.

Join us and learn practical skills to help you feel more confident, safe, and prepared for everyday life and work. Learn how to stay safe online, build positive relationships through effective communication, make healthy choices, create a good first impression, and present yourself in a way that reflects your strengths and new found confidence.

What Will I Learn

• Staying Safe Online – passwords, scams, privacy, and how to stay safe when using the internet.
• Making a Good Impression – your appearance, attitude, and behaviour can help you make a positive impression.
• Communication Skills for Work – speaking, listening, and working well with others in the workplace.
• Healthy Living – healthy food choices, wellbeing, and looking after yourself.
• Dressing for Success – choosing the right clothes and presenting yourself well can help you feel confident.

You must be:

a) an Australian citizen, permanent Australian resident, or a New Zealand citizen, or a humanitarian visa holder or a partner visa holder whose sponsor is a humanitarian visa holder, or is an eligible asylum seeker, and
b) be aged 15 years or older, and
c) live or work in NSW, and
d) no longer be at school or equivalent (except for registered home school students).

If you can answer Yes to the above and you have low level employment, language, literacy or digital skills that are holding you back from employment opportunities, then talk to us about NSA funded training.  (We’ll ask you to complete a short pre‑course activity to help us make sure the course is right for you.)

*Ensuring Access to Foundation Skills Training is a joint initiative between the Australian and New South Wales governments.

From 1 January 2015 it is a requirement of the Federal Government that all students undertaking nationally recognised training will need to obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This involves an easy online application. See USI Fact Sheet for information on how to apply for a USI go to the Unique Student Identifier (USI) Website for additional information.

Please ensure when completing your enrolment information, that the details relating to your name are identical to those on the identification evidence used (eg passport or driver’s licence) when creating your USI eg no abbreviations or nicknames should be used.

Once created, it is important that you keep a record of your USI and access to your accredited training records in a safe place. You will need this information for any future enrolments into accredited training in Australia.
