In this class, we’ll explore how to use symbolism and mixed media to express your personal story and connect it to the larger tapestry of your life. Using mixed media techniques, you’ll combine materials like paint, fabric, photographs, handwritten text, and found objects to craft a piece that captures the essence of intertwined histories. Together, we’ll delve into symbolism and the visual language of storytelling, embracing the idea that time, memory, and identity are not linear but beautifully layered and interconnected.
Each layer will reflect your journey—your joys, challenges, and the threads of your life. You’ll uncover new ways to express yourself, using art to capture the complexity and beauty of your experiences, and through reflection, vulnerability, and creativity, you’ll leave with a timeline piece that holds personal meaning.
