    Not quite ready to dive into a full workshop?  No worries!  Come sample the fun with our $10 taster courses.  Just be sure to book your spot!

    Nature Journaling

    Experience a relaxed introduction to Nature Journaling in this 2-hour taster session, where you’ll try simple observation and sketching techniques. Please note that this session is a brief introduction and not the same as the full Nature Journaling course.

    What to Bring:

    Bring along any supplies you may have at home such as;

    • Graphite pencil
    • Coloured pencils
    • Watercolour and Brushes
    • Ruler
    • Eraser
    • Black Biro (ball-point pen)
    • Sketchbook or some loose paper

    If students own any other art supplies (a sketchbook, graphite &/or coloured pencils, pens, watercolour paints etc) please bring them along.

    General Sewing

    Try your hand at sewing in this 2-hour taster session. You’ll learn basic sewing skills and get comfortable using simple tools and techniques. Please note that this is a short introductory experience and not the same as the full sewing course.

    What to Bring:

    You’re welcome to bring along a project you’d like help with, or a simple bag or pencil case pattern (ready to cut or pre-cut) to work on.

    Alternatively, there’s no need to bring anything at all. You’ll be guided through the basics of using a sewing machine and introduced to some easy sewing projects.

    Interior Design Essentials

    Experience a hands-on introduction to interior design in this 2-hour taster session, where you’ll explore core concepts such as spatial planning, material selection, and coastal-inspired styling. Please note this session provides only a brief glimpse of the full 8-module Interior Design course and focuses on foundational exploration rather than client-ready deliverables.

    What to Bring:

    • Phone, Laptop and Note Book to take notes.

    Manage Your Build and Renovation

    Get a feel for what it takes to confidently manage your own build or renovation in this 2-hour, hands-on taster session. You’ll explore the essentials—design thinking, budgeting basics, and navigating approvals.

    This session offers a valuable overview to the process, with interactive learning and expert guidance, but is just a glimpse into the full 6-week course.

    What to Bring:

    • Phone, Laptop and Note Book to take notes.

    French Beginners Stage 1

    Try a fun introduction to the French language in this 2-hour taster session, where you’ll learn basic vocabulary, simple grammar, and beginner conversation skills. Please note this session is a brief overview and not the same as the full beginner French course, which builds skills step by step with ongoing practice and homework.

    What to Bring:

    • Note Book & Pen to take notes.

    French Travellers Stage 1

    Try a fun introduction to the French language in this 2-hour taster session, where you’ll learn basics of French Travellers. Please note this session is a brief overview and not the same as the full travellers French course, which builds skills step by step with ongoing practice and homework.

    Spanish Travellers Stage 1

    Enjoy a lively introduction to Spanish in this 2-hour taster session, where you’ll explore basic vocabulary, simple conversation, pronunciation, and cultural highlights through practical exercises, songs, and music. Please note this session is a brief overview and not the same as the full beginner Spanish course, which builds conversational skills, grammar, and cultural knowledge step by step.

    What to Bring:

    • Note Book & Pen to take notes.

    Spanish Conversation

    Curious about our 8-week Spanish Conversation Course? This taster session provides an introduction to the course content and teaching style. Ideal for students with at least 32 hours of formal Spanish study, it offers the opportunity to practice real-world communication skills, build confidence, and experience conversational Spanish in a supportive environment.

    What to Bring:

    • Note Book & Pen to take notes.

    Watercolour Beginners

    Thinking about joining our 6-week Beginner Watercolour Course? This taster class is a great way to experience the course before committing. You’ll explore fundamental watercolour techniques, gain confidence with materials and methods, and enjoy a creative introduction to painting in a friendly and supportive setting.

    What to Bring:

    • Note Book & Pen to take notes.
    • Blue, Red and Yellow watercolour paints.
    • Small pointed and a medium pointed brush. Brushes can be bought at Bunnings (in the craft Section near the Paint Department).
    • $5 on the day for the Watercolour Paper

    Meditation for Balance & Wellbeing

    Take this chance to relax and de-stress with a friendly 2-hour Meditation class.

    Experience short and simple techniques for unwinding and letting go which anyone can use.

    This taster will whet your appetite for the full 2-session workshop series on Meditation for Balance and Wellbeing which goes into much greater depth.
