Create Your Business Visual Brand System in Canva

Create a practical visual brand system for your business, then turn it into a custom set of reusable Canva designs that make your content faster to create and easier to keep consistent.  If you already use Canva but want a clearer and more time efficient way to create your business marketing content, a set of go-to templates will be your best friend.

We’ll use your existing business and brand direction to develop a simple visual brand guide inside Canva Free, covering:

• colour palette
• typography and text hierarchy
• logos and existing brand elements
• spacing, imagery and recurring visual elements
• simple design rules you can reuse

You’ll then apply that system to create five reusable layouts customised for your business, designed for different types of content.

We’ll also look at how to carry the same visual system into other formats, so your business content feels connected without everything looking the same.

Who this workshop is for

For business owners who already feel comfortable using Canva and want their content to look more consistent, while making it quicker and easier to create.

This is not a branding strategy workshop or a Canva beginners class. We’ll work from the business, audience and brand direction you already have, and focus on applying it visually.

What to bring

Please have anything you’d like to use easy to access from Canva on the day. If you want to gather everything in one place beforehand, an easy option is to create a Canva Whiteboard document and simply drop your logos, images, notes, screenshots and other reference material onto it. If you prefer working with Canva folders that’s fine too. It doesn’t need to be organised. It just needs to be easy to find.

Bring what you have. This might include:

• your logo
• brand colours and fonts
• brand guidelines or brand voice notes
• photos or graphics you regularly use
• examples of your existing content
• examples of business designs you like (screenshots are fine)
• notes about your audience or business

You do not need to have all of these.

This workshop uses Canva Free. Canva Pro features such as Brand Kit will not be covered.

• Must be familiar with using Canva at a basic level and confident computer user
• Canva Pro not required
• Bring your own device – tablet or laptop (no smartphones). If bringing an iPad as your device, please make sure to bring an Apple pencil or equivalent accessory for an Android Tablet to class with you.
