Canva for Social Media Level 2 Overview

This class follows on from the beginner class. While this is still at beginner-friendly level, we will not be repeating the essential steps covered in the first class. We are building on those foundations and applying them to more detailed designs and more advanced techniques.
In this class we will:
  • Briefly review the key tools from the beginners class
  • Work with more detailed templates
  • Explore more advanced use of colour application in designs
  • Create a visual brand guide and apply it to designs
  • Refine spacing, alignment and hierarchy in designs
  • Animate elements on a single page to create short video posts
  • Export your animated designs correctly for use on social platforms
Bring a notebook.  We will have some time in class for you to work on your own projects and ask questions.
Everything in this class can be done with Canva’s free subscription.
  • Must be familiar with using Canva at a basic level and confident computer user
  • Canva Pro not required
  • Bring your own device – tablet or laptop (no smartphones). If bringing an iPad as your device, please make sure to bring an Apple pencil or equivalent accessory for an Android tablet to class with you.
