Xero for Beginners overview

This Xero course is ideal for individuals with no prior bookkeeping or accounting software knowledge. Basic bookkeeping principles; accounting terminology and relevant legislation are introduced.

Pre-requisite Strong file management skills using Windows PC’s and basic internet skills.   This class is not suitable for Mac users.  Prior to the first class all students must have set up their own Xero account.  If you have not already done so, instructions for creating your free Xero account can be emailed to you upon request.  Students must remember to have their smart phone in class in order to access the Xero authenticator code at the start of the session.  Students have use of the NBMC desktop computers(Pcs not Macs) in order to access their Xero accounts.    Unfortunately no time will be spent assisting those who do not have their Xero account ready to use on the day.

  • USB flash drive
  • Intermediate to advanced Windows and Internet skills.
  • This course is designed for participants with little or no previous knowledge of Xero.
  • Prior to the course commencement all students must have set up their own access to Xero with access to authenticator. Students must have a smart phone in class to access the authenticator. It is the responsibility of the student to have these details to hand once the class starts as the tutor will not spend time assisting students to set up their accounts in classtime.
  • Please note there will be a separate course on Payroll.

    This course is delivered once a week for 2 weeks.
