Course Outline

Get to know the latest Windows operating system. What’s new and what’s changed from Windows 7 and 8? Locate all your favourite tools and learn shortcuts to find your way around. Download apps and customise your system. Topics include

  • What’s new in Windows 10
  • Customising the Start Menu
  • Working with windows
  • Working with programs
  • Windows search
  • How to install Windows apps
  • Working with Files & Folders
  • Your Microsoft Account

Prerequisite

Keyboarding skills. Notes provided.

On Campus study during COVID-19

Additional safety measures are being taken at College Campuses to help protect everyone on site. These include:

  • Additional cleaning measures
  • Reduced class sizes to allow for social distancing
  • Provision of hand sanitiser and wipes to encourage regular hand hygiene
  • Regular wiping of frequently used surfaces

Please help with these safety measures:

  • Do not attend College if you are feeling unwell.
  • Regularly clean your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, or an alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Practice cough etiquette (keep away from other people, cover coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues or clothing, and clean your hands.
  • Practice recommended social distancing.
