The Tech Savvy Seniors program involves the roll out of training across NSW that aims to encourage more seniors to embrace information technology. Tech Savvy Seniors is an initiative of the NSW Ageing Strategy and is funded through a partnership between the NSW Government and Telstra. It will assist seniors aged from sixty years who have had limited or no previous experience in using technology to learn new skills for the future.
Participants will be introduced to a range of technology related subjects which change from term to term. The low cost training will also help older people to access information and stay connected with their family, friends and communities.

If you are interested in applying for a position for one of the workshops please enrol online or phone 9970 1000. You will be required to bring evidence to the first training session to prove citizenship/residency and age, please bring with you:
Course cost usually $10 depending upon length of course.
This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.
Eligibility evidence will need to be produced at the first session of the course.
For iPad and iPhone courses, please bring your iPad/iPhone and charger to the course. The internet and Facebook classes will be held in the College’s fully equipped computer room with a pc allocated to each participant.
PLEASE NOTE: Training rooms at NBMC Brookvale Campus are located on the first floor of the building with no lift access. The only access is via stairs.
Courses are also offered at Seaforth Village Community Centre which is accessible and also offers an on site cafe.
Important: If you already have a Facebook account please ensure you bring your log-in details, ie. your email address and Facebook password (please check that you are able to log into your Facebook account prior to the class). If you would like to set up your Facebook account during this course please ensure you have an email account that has never been used to create a Facebook account in the past, as well as the password to that email account.
