Create Branded Canva Templates For Your Business

In social media, simple systems save time and headspace. One effective system for efficiency and consistency, is branded templates that are customised for your business.

We’ll start with creating a brand guide, then use it to build a set of templates for your business. See how to use that brand guide seamlessly in Canva Free, without needing the pro brand kit.  If you already have brand colours and fonts, etc., bring them. If you don’t, we’ll make a selection on the day, you can always refine your choices later.

In this hands-on session, you will:

• Choose six main colours for your brand
• Select fonts for headlines, body text and accents
• Create a template with five layout variations for your main social channel, using your Brand Guide

We’ll start with an Instagram-sized template because it’s easy to visualise and adapt. From there, you can apply the same theory and structure to other platforms.

Brand visuals are influenced by more than colours and fonts. If you have a description of your audience, your mission or your brand voice, bring them with you. It’s not required, but it will help you make design decisions.

It’s also useful to bring examples of posts you’ve created in the past that you’d like to build on.

Before the workshop, spend a little time looking at businesses that serve a similar audience to you. Not to copy, but to observe what is working for them. Bring links to their posts, or screenshots of the designs and the captions.
