Rediscover balance, vitality, and calm with a yoga course designed specifically with mature bodies in mind. Instructed by an experienced over 50s teacher, these gentle Hatha yoga classes welcome you to move entirely at your own pace in a supportive, relaxed environment.

Whether you are looking to improve your mobility or simply find a moment of calm in a busy week, this course offers a holistic approach to wellness. Every class combines gentle physical movement with dedicated relaxation, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques to help you build physical strength, enhance flexibility, and cultivate lasting peace of mind.

Class Details & What to Bring

  • Skill Level: Perfect for all levels, including complete beginners. No prior yoga experience is required.
  • What to Bring: Please bring your own yoga mat and a towel for comfort.

Meet Your Instructor: Bernie

Learn from a passionate, highly qualified teacher who understands how to adapt yoga to your unique body. Bernie has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and earned her Diploma in Yoga Teaching from the prestigious Yoga Institute of Australia in Cammeray.

Bernie’s comprehensive training is rooted in traditional Indian teachings, with a strong core focus on customising yoga to meet the specific needs, health goals, and physical capabilities of the individual. She firmly believes that yoga is for absolutely everyone—as she likes to say, “If you can breathe, you can do yoga!”

What to expect in Bernie’s classes:

  • Accessible Postures (Asana): Gentle movements tailored to support joint health, balance, and core strength.
  • Breathing Techniques (Pranayama): Guided breath work to boost energy and reduce stress.
  • Meditation & Sound: Restorative practices to calm the nervous system and clear the mind.

This course will help build and maintain strength and flexibility of body and peace of mind. Relaxation, breathing and meditation techniques are part of each class.

    This course is delivered once a week for 9 weeks.
