Tech Savvy Seniors Organise your Files & Photos(Windows PC only)

Create a filing system for your computer that is easy to work with and makes sense to you. Delete files, recycle bin, restore files, Move files from hard disk to disk drive & vice versa. Work with Word, Excel and JPEG image files and programs that can edit then, understand the “path” as you look at folders and sub-folders and different “drives”, you’ll create a folder to put your files into and look at several ways of opening files.

In this course, students will learn how to create folders, save, move, copy, select, rename and delete files. They also learn about the recycle bin, and how to copy files to a USB and CD. This course is suitable for users of a PC/ Windows based computer only.


  • Create a simple filing system to store your files, photos and music
  • Learn how to use a USB flash drive
  • Learn about burning CDs
  • Learn about transferring your photos from your digital camera onto your computer

  • Notepad and pen
  • USB flash drive (around 4GB) Smartphone and Smartphone cable

Tech Savvy Senior Funding Eligibility

Eligibility for a position includes:

  • Being an Australian citizen/permanent resident
  • Aged 60+

It will be a requirement of this course to provide evidence of eligibility to your trainer on the first session of class. If you are unable to do this, you will not be allowed to participate in the class. Please bring with you to the first session your:

  • Photo identification (passport, driver’s licence)
  • Medicare card
  • Pension Card or NSW Seniors Card

How to Enrol

You can enrol online and over the phone using a credit card or come to our North Narrabeen Campus at 1525 Pittwater Road, North Narrabeen and enrol in person. (Please park in the pink line marked car spaces allocated to the College in the Northern Car Park only.)
