Course Outline

This is a short course intended for people 18 years and over, to understand mental illness and know how to support people with mental health issues.

Course includes information on how to:

  • Identify signs of mental illnesses
  • Appropriately communicate to support person centered care for those with a mental health issue.
  • Provide support to meet the needs of a person with mental illness, while protecting the rights of each party
  • How to identify and support a person in a suicide crisis.
