Business Skills for Creative Entrepreneurs

This course is ideal if you are seeking to kick start your creative business and not sure where to start or have started and need to get it on track. This course provides you with fundamental DIY skills to create a creative business plan, determine your niche market, identify your ideal customer and how to market your idea to them.

We then develop a marketing plan, and the marketing materials to support your plan. This will also cover your basic social media and content plan. Your marketing plan will also include looking at your website, website copy, and imagery.

When you have completed your brand basics, you then work on your sales skills and develop your sales strategy to help bring in revenue for your business.

You will be introduced to basic design skills using industry standard software or online tools to give you have control over the presentation of your brand.

You will be provided with a folder to document and keep your notes and research. A Facebook community will be established to discuss ideas and support your fellow students in the class.

SESSION ONE – LAUNCH OR LOOK

SESSION THREE – SOCIALISE

  • Basic content strategy based on your ideal client/customer
  • Social media templates

SESSION FOUR – SOCIALISE AND PARTY

  • Create a basic ebook, checklist, workbook or information pack to help generate leads
  • Optimise or set up your social media pages to be consistent

SESSION FIVE – WEBSITE STRATEGY
Plan your website

  • Brand style tile – fonts colours, logo for your website
  • Website wireframes – website ingredients and what to put where
  • Website copy – connect with your ideal client/customer
  • Website images – source images that suit your brand

SESSION SIX – SELL YOUR WARES

  • Sales success secrets
  • Media Kit elements
  • Elevator pitch template to promote your business
  • Sales slides/pitch deck to send to clients or put on your website as a webinar
