Seniors- Understanding your Computer Files and Folders

Create a filing system for your computer that is easy to work with and makes sense to you. Work with text files and image files, understand the hierarchy and “path” as you look at folders and sub-folders and different drives. In this course, students will learn how to create folders, move, copy, select, rename and delete files and folders. They also learn about the recycle bin, and how to copy files to a USB.

This course is suitable for users of Windows computers only. Not suitable for Mac users.

Content

  • Create a simple filing system to store your files, photos and music
  • Learn how to use a USB flash drive
  • Learn about transferring your photos from your digital camera onto your computer

Please Bring

  • Notepad and pen
  • USB flash drive (around 4GB) Smartphone and Smartphone cable

When enrolling in this section you must quote your NSW Seniors card or Pension number to receive the discounted rate. There are no further concessions on these courses. Under 60’s can attend at the full price.
Pre-requisite Knowledge of Microsoft Windows
