Although we are familiar with their asthetic value, lawns have many important practical applications including controlling soil erosion, providing a cooling effect, improving air quality and even creating a benifical ecosystem. You will learn how to:

  • Select the right lawn for your situation
  • Laying turf or sowing seed – the advantages and disadvantages
  • Rejuvinate an existing lawn
  • Soils and soil mixes
  • Soil improvement and fertiliser regime
  • Treat common weeds, pest and disease
  • Care and maintainance plan for your lawn

This course is designed to be interactive, with plenty of question and answer time.

Participants will need to bring the following items to the first session:

  • Please bring photos of your lawn.
