Krav Maga Self Defence

Learn how to protect yourself using Krav Maga, the Israeli system of self defence. Based on your body’s natural reactions, it’s designed to be fairly quick and easy to learn. Students will develop a range of skills, from tactical movement and avoidance, to techniques for defending and counterattacking in common scenarios. We’ll also include drills to build your fitness and mental determination (whilst also being great fun!)

Run by an experienced, KMG-certified instructor, this is a practical course which will give you a good foundation in Krav Maga, and is suitable for men and women of all fitness levels.

What You Will Learn

  • Striking & kicking: towards all directions, combining strikes, identifying targets and using correct technique
  • Defending strikes
  • Timelines of attack, with different options for prevention and de-escalation
  • Defending common grabs, including chokes, headlocks, and bear hugs
  • Defending knife threats and attacks
  • Dealing with multiple attackers
  • Defending from the ground
  • Tactical thinking, movement and behaviour
  • Using common objects for defence
