Programming and Planning in Early Childhood Education and Care

This professional development course will assist educators in understanding the planning process relating to curriculum development in early childhood. It will inspire educators to start from the beginning and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of programming and planning. The course will provide examples of differing planning processes, and encourage educators to develop a unique curriculum which supports their service delivery. Time will be given to reflect upon current strategies towards curriculum development, and how these can be improved.

This course links to the EYLF principles, practices and supports the use of learning outcomes in curriculum planning. The course will directly link to Quality Area 1 of the NQS.
