MYOB for Beginners

Course Outline

Learn basic bookkeeping and MYOB for you own business or job. This introductory course covers the fundamentals of bookkeeping and day to day financial transactions using MYOB. Includes Payroll Fundamentals.

Topics include

How to maintain daily financial records
How to maintain general a ledger
Monitoring cash control
How to record payroll data
How to prepare payroll
How to handle payroll enquiries

Please note: Please note MYOB is now only available for Windows PCs.

Prerequisites

Good Windows PC knowledge
Knowledge of Basic Book keeping principles
Strong file management skills, and confident keyboarding skills

All students will download a free version of MYOB AccountRight Plus version 2021 for this course.
If you already have MYOB (no earlier than 2018.3) you will only be able to use your existing version if the file is empty, otherwise you will not be able to copy our Student Files into it.
In order to download the free version we recommend you use a different email address to the one you currently subscribe to MYOB with and use a contact name that is not on file with MYOB.

Note: no left turn into William Street from Pittwater Road. Enter via Harbord Road or Corrie Road.

Public Transport

No on site parking available. Restricted hours street parking in part of William Street from 9am to 6pm. On street parking available further along William Street, in Corrie Road and surrounding residential streets. Student facilities include: Kitchen with fridge and microwave. Tea/coffee making facilities with snacks available for purchase.

Other Information

Exit bus at Warringah Mall main bus stop, which is on the corner of William Street and Pittwater Road.
