For students with a little knowledge of Japanese. You will learn the vocabulary and grammar basically & mainly using Hiragana and Katakana. It will bring more detailed and “digging-in” class than its Stage 1. Strongly recommended to learn in this course who just has finished Stage 1 and go further and deeper leaning with same teacher. You will still learn in very fun and friendly atmosphere. prior knowledge, skills or prerequisites will advantage but not mandatory. Bringing your "can-do" and " will-do" attitude will be very helpful. Writing Japanese alphabets frequently will be a homework/assignment in this class. Teacher is quite keen to teach you basic Kanjis (Japanese school Year 1 level) in this class too.

Learning about how to describe yourself, introducing someone, greeting to people you meet first time. You will learn various countries, people and languages name
Session 2:
It, This, That, That over there, what / basic names of object (nouns)
The Demonstratives for things / person, modify nouns, substitution noun, prefix for speaking politely. You will learn common Japanese surnames
Session 3:
Here, There, Over there, Where
The Demonstratives refer to places, System of demonstratives
Session 4:
Time, Day, Week, Your daily routines and Numbers
Learning about how to tell and ask times. Counter suffixes for hours, minutes, days, weeks, months and years. You will learn how to use a public phone, emergency & info numbers and how to write an address in Japanese
Session 5:
Getting to your destination by using - , going somewhere with – (person), when you are willing to get there, how long you are willing to stay at your destination
Describing where you are going, how you get there with using what sort of transportations. You will learn about national holidays in Japan
Session 6:
Basic verbs, such as eat, drink, watch, listen, read, write, buy, take, see (someone) and simply “do”.

Session 7:
Basic verbs continues, such as cut, send, give, receive, lend, borrow, teach, learn. Very useful tools names
Doing something with using tools is basic skill in your daily routine. You will also learn family members demonstrative words (mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, brothers, sisters, daughters, sons etc)
Session 8:
Basic adjectives such as beautiful, handsome, quiet, famous, kind, healthy, convenient etc. Adverbs of degree
Japanese words for colours, tastes, temperature

Mami Himura Cheng is a Japanese national, born, grew up, and was fully educated in Hokkaido, Japan. Mami immigrated to Australia in 2007, and has been living in Sydney as a permanent resident ever since. Mami worked as a librarian at a public library in Japan for 5 years, and has 10 years experience in an ongoing career as a ZUMBA Fitness instructor all around the Northern Beaches area, as well as teaching Japanese to children with a Japanese background at the local community language school.
