This course is designed for students who have no knowledge of the French language or have studied French a long time ago. We will develop basic listening, speaking, writing and reading skills in a social and interactive environment. Students will learn to understand, express and read simple phrases, and exchange information in a variety of common situations. Homework is essential for the successful completion of the course. For Tuesday 10am - 12pm class:
Course description update: This course is designed for students who have a little knowledge of the French language or have studied French for at least two terms. We will start the term at page 44 of the textbook, Cosmopolite 1 (Dossier 2, leçon 4). We will cover the basic listening, speaking, writing and reading skills in a social and interactive environment. Students will continue to build up all aspects of the language in a systematic manner along with constant revisions throughout the Term. Students wishing to enrol should be familiar with possessive adjectives, interrogative adjectives, numbers, conjugation of être and avoir and –er verbs in the present tense. If you are unsure about your suitability, we can put you in touch with the instructor to discuss your level.

Zoom is easy to use video conferencing software with a simple set up. You will be able to see your trainer and classmates and interact as though you were in the same room, all from the comfort of your own home!

- A webcam* so that you can be seen by the trainer; and
- A microphone* so that you can participate in the class and be heard by the trainer; and

*If you have a laptop computer a webcam and microphone is usually built into the top of the screen frame. Smartphones and iPad/tablets also contain cameras and microphones.
